The 3dgsPurePacker shall provide the possibility for hobby programmers to pack their games, demos and screensavers in a single self-extracting exe file and to pass them on to others, without any installation becoming necessary on the target computer.
Example: Packing Testlevel (look at hardcopy 3)
After selection of the game start file, the program will pack the game directory and its subdirectories in a single self-extracting exe file (e.g. Testlevel.exe).
Example: Unpacking Testlevel (look at hardcopy 4)
When starting this packed self-extracting Testlevel.exe, a subdirectory with the name Testlevel will be created under C:\Windows\Temp, the game files will be unpacked into this and the game will be started.
During unpacking a user info will be displayed.
The unpacked game code is not encoded.
Per default the temporary directory Testlevel will be removed again after the end of the game.
In Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg the program starts in German, for the rest in English.
The help files are available in German and English.
